New Year Party?

I am almost sure that on you partied hard into new year. Surely you were having dinner or something, opened few bottles, countdown, fireworks, and eventually went to bed too late, just before the sun rise.
This time, I didn't do that.
Just when you were heading home, or still laying on the floor completely drunk, way before the sun rise, I was dressing up, putting leathers, pushing the 937 along the driveway (she is loud, would have awoken my family), hopping on and riding away.
It was dark, but there was a starry sky. Tarmac was icy, I could see it shine on my headlight beam.
I tell you, I had the sick idea to do a tires heaters cycle before leaving, but I it would have been a waste of time. Riding time.
Madness is a grooving infection. 7km away from home, I arrived to the meeting point.
No one around. I mean, the whole town was sleeping. No cars. No pedestrian. Not even a stray cat.
I switch the engine off, and I start to hear some sound getting closer.
"Who the fuck is mowing the lawn this early in the morning, I mean, this early into the new year?"
As the noise generator got closer, I could detect that rattling sound of a rattling clutch Desmo engine. There aren't many sicker than me out there, so it was my dear bro Ickx on this Ducati 851.
New year wishes, without even getting off the bikes, and off we rode.
Club boss set up a competition. He wanted to see who were the first 10 riders getting there at the club (that's also a restaurant, and also where he lives) on January 1st 2013, from 7:00am on.
That gave me the bastardish idea to get there way before, and wake the fucker up!
Official timing set my arrival at 6:34. We were the first ones!
And gave him a proper alarm clock, revving up the engines!
Given we really kicked him out of the bed, I guess we made it even earlier, he simply needed few minutes to get up, log in, find himself, and check the time.
By 8:15am we were already 8 riders up there.
It was amazing seeing the sun rise from the valley, as it was another of those wonderful day.
On my previous post I told I wanted to celebrate riding.
I tell you no lies.
In avvicinamento a ore 6.
Siamo stati i primi!

Blessed Are The Sick.

Well, they say we are pretty sick when we ride in winter, doesn't they?
Being mostly a track rider, I am not really a winter rider (anymore). But, well, we are being blessed by a wonderful autumn weather, with temperature reaching +10°C. At the sun it's really nice!
Today weather was simply brilliant. The sun was shining like it never shone before. Time to hop on the mighty 937 and go for a ride.
I rode around here, on the hills. Some 45 km. Topping some decent speeds, popping some nice wheelies as the grip was all there.
I rode into a narrow mountain road too. Loved it.
Definitely a relaxing ride.
Perfect celebration of the last day of the year.

And, I tell you, I will celebrate tomorrow the same way I celebrated today!

Have a wild party tonite!
Figata!
Un giretto rilassante
Perfetta celebrazione dell'ultimo giorno dell'anno.

E, vi confesso, celebrerò domani allo stesso modo!

Fate festa selvaggia questa notte!

Happy New Fucking Year!

Once Upon A Winter

Well, winter may really kill. A friend of mine, that I got to know one million years ago, for the simply reason we BOTH had the mighty RF900 (Where's yours, Mr.Twat?), managed to do several filming of his cool son. And set up this amazing videoclip. And I tell you, the kid sings like a dream!

Friendship and Bikes / Amicizia e Moto

Few days a go dude got in touch with me.
Seeking parts for a GSXR like mine.
For a friend.
No problem.
I had the parts, we agreed a price, and set up a meeting that happened yesterday.
He shows up with another friend. Actually this new one should get the parts.
Seen and liked, they pay.
The guy that originally got in touch with me gives me the cash, and gives the parts to the other one, saying something like "Merry Xmas".
So the parts were bought by guy 1 and gave away as a present to guy 2.
Guy 1 tells me: I consider him my brother.
WOW!
This is amazing.
So out there there are still something called friendship, and it is still based upon the passion for motorcycles. These guys are 10+ years younger than me. And they still believe in it.
It fucking made my day.

Little Ride / Giretto

So saturday I enjoyed a little ride on the old 937. Just a quick ride up the Monte Grappa. Some 90km ridden, just to enjoy a little. And I enjoyed this on the bar located on the top: Sabato ho fatto un giretto con la vecchia 937.
Weather wasn't one of the best. But on the top there were still were some bikes.
The old 937 still runs strong. I enjoyed stopping around, taking few pics. I'll be back for seme nicer autumn colors!

((937*1000)+937)/10

Since the club championship is over, it's time to either have some easy track days, or ride the street bike. Across the weekend I picked the latter, and easily rode some 140km around the nearby mountains.
I was so lazy that I didn't even wanted to fill up, and managed to run out of fuel 100 meter from home on my way back (uphill!). Apart this, the mighty 937, did another symbolic step. Look at the figure on the clock:
Guardate:
here the ride:ecco il giretto:

The Smurf and Spiderman / Il Puffo e L'uomo Ragno

Ok, the following pics shows the Spiderman. What follows may not be ok for everybody. But this blog runs under the special copyright licence that goes like "This is my fucking blog, if you don't like get the fuck off" OK, nella foto che segue c'è l'omo ragno.
So we had the last race of the Season. In Rijeka.
As you may know (or not?) I was 3rd in the club championship, same points with a fellow rider, and his damn Triumph 600 sport bike.
Gaps & points math gave us a pretty certainty that we'll take 2nd and 3rd place, and the one of us finishing in front of the other would have taken the desired 2nd place.
I was hot.
To match my bike smurfish colour scheme, I applied ONE BLUE knee slider and ONE WHITE on.
The fucking damn smurf crafted by Satan himself, with an angelic white 666 number on a smurfish blue background.
I've a ritual, I think I never told it here. On the morning of a track day, I need to take a download (shit) in the track structure restrooms. If I don't, I pack and leave. This is my only superstition.
This time I took a shit there three times: the night before, the morning, and 30 minutes before the race.
I was fucking loaded.
I qualified in front of the damn british iron.
We did a good start, but in the mess of turn one, the British iron was in front. No problem, I was there, but the fucking spiderman, on his powerful MV F4 1000cc installed his damn spider web and I caught in the trap. He was in between me and the British thing.
That wouldn't be an issue, if Spiderman was as fast as Superman or at least Batman, but it turned out that Spiderman is 2 seconds slower than me and the british queen, but has some 80hp more than smurfbike, that on a fast track is enough to make a spiderweb you cannot pass through and overtake. Took me 3 eternal laps to eat the spider, to crush it under my boots.
Ed ecco l'ultima gara della stagione. A Rijeka.
At that point the queen, saved by some gods, was at least 6 secs away from me.
NO.
That cannot be.
So I entered suicidal mode, had clear track, and tried my best to kill myself in the process to catch up.
Know what? I didn't kill myself, but I caught the queen and his fucking kingdom.
But I did it on LAST lap.
Flag.
End of race.
I drank 5 seconds in 5 laps, finishing less than one sec from my opponent. He is 2nd. I am 3rd, and pissed.
On the last lap, of the last race, of the last track day, I even did my all times best lap time on this track.
Sounds quite glorious, doesn't it?

Back to the pit lane, I was the Fantastic Four, Satan, Wolverine, and all the fucking marvel fags, with all their super powers.... aiming to KILL the spider. In a moment of clearness, I stepped down, and blamed the marshals for not simply blue flagging the red & blue hero.

In the end this kinda fucked up my joy. It's OK I am 3rd, but I would have wanted to fight for a 2nd. Spider man simply didn't let me do it.

If my son will ever want some toy, book, comics or whatever about Spiderman, well, it's gonna be forbidden. "Get some fucking porn mag son, not that slow fags crap!"
NO.

Fuck, too late! Cazzo, troppo tardi!
As Always, well, Here some action pics of the day, thanks to our great Photographer: Come di consueto, beh, Ecco alcune foto in azione scattate durante la giornata dal mitico Gioele:
The rest of the day has been lovely. Weather was perfect, and we had this MV dealer, LUNARDI RACING, who gave us the chance to freely test the MV F4RR and the F3. I tested the F4RR, and found it impressive. I am simply not used to such power, it's damn scary. Thank you, Alberto! Grazie Alberto!

ATTENZIONE! ACTUNG! WARNING! GNOCCA GRATIS! FREE PUSSY!

ha! So you are reading this now :) The guy inside the Spiderman leathers, is a friend. I've nothing against any kind of sexual preference. The british bike rider, is a friend. We even had lunch together. All the above is meant to be fun. If you don't like my sarcasm or attitude, FUCK OFF. And this is not a joke. ha!

RainBurgRing / PioggiaBurgo

I returned to SALZBURGRING. Rain followed me. All the way there, I even caught snow on the motorway. All the morning there. Endless rain. I've been lucky it dried out a little in the afternoon, so I managed to have some 25 laps. Slow. I really love this track. I hope, one day, I can finally enjoy it the proper way. The rest? See pics: Sono tornato al SALZBURGRING. Vedere foto:
Few words for the organizer: ROTHE RACING. Super top organization. Mr. Stephan Rothe is absolutely the top, a gentle man, and a great rider that can lap the damn track in 1:28,5 !!!!
