'80 '90 SPORTBIKES REUNION, September 2025

I belong to more than one motorcycle club. One of these, Cilindri Storici, is about vintage motorcycles. The years go by, and you don't need spoked wheels or a dual shock absorber on the rear to be vintage. Many sport bikes with beautiful wraparound fairings are now vintage... a time when the passion for speed and lean angles was far greater than today. It was the '90s, and the following decade as well, superbikes were within reach of many, and the performance challenge was a no-holds-barred competition. I participated last year for the first time... and this year I returned: meeting, motorcycle tour, and lunch! Here's the video of the departure from the meeting point:

Appartengo ap iù di un motoclub. Uno di questi, Cilindri Storici, ha a che fare con le moto d'epoca. Gli anni passano, e non serve avere le ruote a raggi o doppio ammortizzatore sul retro per essere d'epoca. Molte moto sportive con belle carenature avvolgenti sono ormai d'epoca... un'epoca nella quale la passione per la velocità e le pieghe era di gran lunga maggiore di oggi. Erano gli anni '90, e pure il decennio successivo, le superbike erano alla portata di molti, e la sfida alle prestazioni era una gara senza esclusione di colpi.
