Playmate of the Month!

Due to my chronic lack of time, it gets harder and harder to find a good day for a proper ride. So a couple o days ago I took three hours off work, hopped on the 937 and off I rode. My true advantage is living by the mountain, so I have close to zero transfer time to reach the true fun, the corners, the twisty roads. One of the closer sequences of corners is the climb up to Monte Grappa, about 1700 mt, some 80-90km all the way up and back down. I needed it, I needed the speed, feel the engine, the fun, but the truth lies somewhere in the middle... as what I really wanted is taking some pictures... I wanted my bike being the Playmate of the Month for the second year in a row! No, there's no porn involved (well, ain't true, bikes are porn!)... it's just there are several Suzuki RF riders around the world (all versions), and we all gather in a Facebook group, exchanging info, suggestions, experiences. And in there we have our main sorcerer, our master, Bob, a guys that helps out a lot, providing a wide range of RF wisdom... and, among the rest, he takes care of our yearly calendar, a print with 12 bikes off our club, one per month. The calendar, a very well done print, with description and history of every single bike featured, is for sale within the club... and the cash raise goes for charity. This Bob doesn't ride for fun only, he also does something great at this Blood Bikes Wales: At Blood Bikes Wales they gear up to provide a completely free courier service for the National Health Service, relying solely on volunteers and donations to offer this service. Basically these folks do ride all around to carry what's needed, such as blood samples, plasma, donated human milk, documents and other items all over Wales. They do it on motorcycles, any weather, any day. FOR FREE. And me, far away from their country... what else can I do but riding, having fun, taking some photos trying to make that calendar even more valuable? My bike was featured on 2021 calendar (the month was July)... so why not trying to have her being Playmate of a Month also in 2022? A causa della mia cronica mancanza di tempo libero, è sempre più difficile trovare una giornata per un giro ben fatto. Quindi un paio di giorni fa mi sono preso tre ore dal lavoro, sono salito in sella e... via! Il mio vero vantaggio è legato al fatto che vivo vicino alle montagne, quindi ho un trasferimento quasi nullo per raggiungere le strade divertenti, le curve, i tornanti. Una delle strade divertenti più vicine, una delle più interessanti sequenze di curve nelle vicinanze, è la strada che porta al Monte Grappa, su in cima a circa 1700mt, circa 80-90 km di strada tra andata e ritorno Ne avevo bisogno, avevo bisogno di velocità, di sentire il motore, di divertirmi, ma la verità sta da qualche parte nel mezzo... in quanto quello che veramente volevo fare era scattare alcune foto... per far diventare la mia moto la Playmate del mese per il secondo anno consecutivo! No, non si parla di pornografia (beh, non è vero, le moto sono pornografia!)... è solo che siamo un bel po' di possessori di Suzuki RF sparsi nel mondo (in tutte le versioni), e ci ritroviamo tutti in un gruppo Facebook, per scambiare informazioni, suggerimenti, esperienze. Dentro quel gruppo abbiamo il nostro primo stregone, il nostro maestro, Bob, un tizio che aiuta molto, offrendo una vasta gamma di saggezza legata a questo modello di moto... e, tra le altre cose, è lui che si occupa del nostro calendario, una stampa con 12 delle moto del nostro club, una per ogni mese. Il calendario, una stampa molto ben fatta, con la descrizione e la storia di ogni singola moto in primo piano, è in vendita nel club... e i soldi vanno tutti in beneficenza. Bob non va in moto sol per passione, lui si occupa anche di una cosa grandiosa al Blood Bikes Wales: Al Blood Bikes Wales i membri si riuniscono per offrire un servizio di trasporto completamente gratuito per il sistema sanitario britannico, con il supporto di soli volontari e donazioni. Praticamente questi ragazzi sfrecciano in moto per tutto il Galles per consegnare quel che serve, cose come campioni di sangue, plasma, latte umano donato, documenti e altro materiale. Lo fanno in moto, con ogni condizione meteo, ogni giorno. E GRATUITAMENTE! Ed io, lontano dal loro paese... cosa mai posso fare se non andare in moto, divertirmi, scattare delle foto per provare a rendere quel calendario ancor più appetibile? La mia moto è comparsa sull'edizione 2021 (il mese di luglio)... quindi perché non provare a renderla la Playmate di un mese anche nel 2022?
