Snow White wonderland

A free saturday afternoon is an incredible gold mine for me... and it happens, all of a sudden, in a sunny day... well, it's hard to resist: I simply have to hop in the saddle and go! So, with spring fastly approaching, I climbed the mountain (Monte Grappa) to see some snow, before it will go away revealing the green pastures it covered for few months now. Moderately clean streets, some fun, some high revs... some freezing temperature up there! My fingers had lost feeling! Took me a while to recover a temperature comptible with the one of a living human being... but I got some help from some delicacies

Un sabato pomeriggio libero è l'incredibile scoperta di una miniera d'oro per me... e quando succede, all'improvviso, in una giornata soleggiata, beh, è impossibile resistere: devo saltare in sella e partire! Quindi, con la primavera alle porte, sono salito in montagna (Monte Grappa) per vedere un po' di neve, prima che se ne vada rivelando le verdi praterie che ha celato nelgi ultimi mesi. Strade moderatamente pulite, un bel po' di divertimento, del sano gas e alti RPM... ma un freddo bestia in cima! Avevo perso la sensibilità delle dita! Mi ci è voluto un po' per recuperare una temperatura delle mani compatibile con quella un essere vivente... ma mi sono fatto aiutare da qualche leccornia!

Night-time Bright spotlight!

If you did read my previous post, I was messing up with new headlight, led bulb and other flashy lighty things around the mighty 937. Well, as spring gets closer, and the temperatures aren't icy anymore, I had the chance to test the new lighting system riding in the night! WOW! I never had such a clear view in front of me! Bingo! Mission accomplished!

Se avete letto il mio post precedente, stavo smanettando con un nuovo faro, luce led e altre cose luminose per la mitica 937 E siccome la primavera si sta avvicinando, con temperature non più glaciali, ho avuto la possibilità di collaudare il nuovo impianto luci di notte! WOW! Non ho mai avuto una vista così luminosa davanti me! Bingo! Missione compiuta!

Winter, son, garage, rides, landscapes, meetings...

Where have I been? It's been a while since my last post! Well busy as usual, and since my mate Tony told me that the frequency of my posts has dropped dramatically (thank you Tony!), here I am, telling you all about how I kept myself busy. First of all, I am helping my son with the upgrades to his Derbi 50cc bike. And we even rode together... If only I, at his age, had had an experienced motorcyclist takin me around and teaching me the tricks of the trade! So I rode with him, and since a 937cc 4 cylinders 4 strokes bike is a little faster and more powerful than a 50cc 2 stroke one, I enjoyed myself popping wheelies, causing backfires and other fun but very childish games (I refuse to grow up!) Of course I also rode the Benelli 49 America! The first day the 2025 I was riding it, and also fews days later, for the very first motorcycle meeting. The 937 was fine, until I decided to upgrade the poor light bulb with a LED one. Easy job? Not in my case, as the headlamp assembly broke down: the inner part, the one held by the two adjustable mounting, to tune the inclination of the headlight, decided to set itself free. I had to score a new (used) headlight assembly! And since I was on it, I upgraded my posers blue led lights, this so fucking 'tuning' thing, and replaced also the instruments backlights, as the old ones left it in total darkness or about. Dove sono stato di bello? Ne è passato di tempo dal mio ultimo post! Insomma, occupato come sempre, ma siccome il mio amico Tony mi ha fatto notare che la frequenza dei miei post è calata drammaticamente (grazie Tony!), eccomi qui, per raccontarvi costa mi ha tenuto occupato. Prima di tutto, sto aiutando mio figlio con le modifiche alla sua Derbi 50cc. Ma siamo anche andati via insieme... se solo alla sua età avessi avuto un motociclista esperto che mi portava in giro insegnandomi i trucchi del mestiere! Quindi sono andato in giro con lui, ma siccome una moto 4 cilindri 4 tempi 937cc è leggermente più veloce di un 2 tempi 50cc, io mi sono divertito a fare cazzate, tipo impennare, provocare ritorni di fiamma e altre cosette molto divertenti ma molto infantili (mi rifiuto di crescere!) Poi, naturalmente, sono anche andato in giro con la Benelli 49 America (meglio nota come 'Benellina')! Il primo giorno del 2025 ero in giro con lei, e pure qualche giorno dopo, per il primo raduno (la MotoBefana del Motoclub Bassano). La 937 era ok, fino a quando ho deciso di cambiare la scadente lampadina ad incandescenza del faro anteriore con una a LED. Facile? Non nel mio caso, in quanto si è rotto il faro: la parte interna sostenuta dai due supporti regolabili per l'inclinazione del fascio di luce, ha deciso di andarsene, di liberarsi da questa costrizione! Ho dovuto comprare un fanale nuovo (usato)! Poi, visto che c'ero, ho aggiornato le mie luci LED blu da sborone -ora si che è dannatamente 'tuning'- e ho pure sostituito le luci della retroilluminazione del cruscotto con delle nuove, anch'esse a LED, visto che le vecchie erano mezze morte e illuminavano il cruscotto di... oscurità (insomma non si vedeva un cazzo se non di giorno!) Godetevi qualche foto, gli aggiornamenti, i pezzi rotti, il panorama, le moto... puntando a un 2025 pieno di curve!
