Another late summer day off...

A strange summer. The chaos embracing the whole planet changed all plans, changed all work related schedules... finding a day for myself got harder and harder. But yesterday I managed to set myself free, and the weather was brilliant across the whole Dolomites. That's where I rode to!

Un'estate stranissima. Il caos che avvolge il pianeta ha cambiato tutti i piani, ha cambiato ogni impegno lavorativo... rendendo sempre più difficile trovare un giorno libero per andare in moto. Ma ieri mi sono liberato, è stata dura ma ce l'ho fatta! Un giorno libero ed un meteo perfetto su tutte le Dolomiti. Ed è li che sono andato!

50 km/h... pretty much (il)legal

It's amazing to see I virtually respected speed limits. 300km, in approximately 6 hours. Average speed? A pretty legal 50 kph!

È favoloso aver virtualmente rispettato i limiti di velocità. circa 300km, in circa 6 ore. Media: legalmente 50 km/h!

Time for us!

Had to take a short break from a massive amount of work down at the office. I needed to do a little restore of my own spirit, hoping for longer rides anytime soon. So the other day I took few morning hours all for... US! Lovely weather!

Dovevo prendere una micro pausa dal lavoro, che in questi giorni mi sta seppellendo. Dovevo restaurare un po' il mio  spirito, nella speranaza di giri più lunghi molto presto.  Quindi l'altro giorno mi sono ricavato alcune ore tutte per NOI! Con un meteo favoloso!

Tanto (troppo) tempo fa, quando avevo 7-8 anni di età, il mio rapporto con le moto era di... paura.

Forse era il rumore, non me lo ricordo. Poi le cose cambiarono un bel po', considerando la mia successiva e tutt'ora attivissima vita su due ruote.

Day off here. And amazing weather. I couldn't go for a full day ride... but I  loved my pretty fueled up 160km of today! Speed. Corners. Race mode ON! Few pics:

Back to Dolomites (Covid19 Tale #8)

Covid Tales... this thing sounds like a very global mockery. As I always thought (and acted accordingly) this crap is doing what these craps usually do when the warm season (aka riding season!) shows up abloom in all its sesual and attractive attitude: GOING AWAY! THE CRAP IS GOING AWAY Nevertheless I am not really paying attention to whatever is being said... which seems to be the opposite of what has just been said, like the world has gone crazy and nobody can understand anything. The only thing I has in mind was: a proper ride! Weather forecast wasn't great, so I almost waited a little before leaving, taking a look to some webcams of the area I wanted to ride to... and then all of a sudden I was in my leather and cornering like no tomorrow! I needed it. I needed to go farther, I needed to go higher. And I had to test my brand new 520 chain and sprokets! My mech did some other things here and there... 'nothing more than that' he claims. But the mighty 937 is now running smooth, balanced, effective... and adding the performance of the new M9RR, WOW, it makes me riding... WAY FASTER! Dolomites. Giau, Falzarego and Valparola passes. Ain't really warm, not even too cold... and the roads were dry! 260km well ridden! Enjoy few pictures:

Le mie storie in tempo di Covid... questa cosa inizia a sembrare davvero una presa in giro globale. Come ho sempre pensato (comportandomi di conseguenza) questa schifezza sta facendo la stessa cosa delle altre schifezze simili quando la stagione calda (quella delle moto!) si manifesta in fiore e con il suo atteggiamento attraente e sensuale: SE NE VA! La schifezza sta svanendo! Tuttavia non sto dando molta retta a tutto quello che viene detto... il quale sembra l'opposto di quello che è appena stato detto, sembra che il mondo sia uscito di senno mentre nessuno ci sta più capendo nulla. L'unica cosa che avevo in mente era: UN VERO GIRO IN MOTO! Le previsioni del tempo non erano un gran ché, quindi me la sono presa un po' comoda con la partenza, guardando alcune webcam della zona verso la quale desideravo andare... e poi tutto ad un tratto mi sono ritrovato con addosso la tuta, piegando come se non ci fosse un domani! Ne avevo bisogno. Avevo bisogno di andare più lontano, avevo bisogno di andare più in alto. E dovevo collaudare il mio nuovo kit catena/corona/pignone da 520! Il mio meccanico ha fatto altre cosette qui e lì... 'niente più di questo', è quel che mi ha detto. Ma la mitica 937 ora va rotonda, equilibrata, efficace... e con questo sommato alla performance delle nuove M9RR, WOW, mi ritrovo ad andare molto più VELOCE! Dolomiti. Passi Giau, Falzarego e Valparola. Non proprio caldo, ma nemmno troppo freddo... e le strade erano asciutte! 260km ben percorsi! Ecco alcune foto:

Up(down)grade to 520! (Covid19 Tale #7)

Time to for a new chain kit again after quite an amount of km ridden pretty hard (mountain roads, many wheelies!). Sticking to the Ergal 45 Tooth Rear Sprocket (+2 from original, an update I did ages ago)... but upgrading from 530 to 520! Work to be done during this week!

È tempo per un nuovo kit catena dopo molti chilometri sempre a palla su strade di montagna e numerosissime impennate! Rimango con la corona in Ergal da 45 denti (+2 rispetto all'originale, modifica fatta anni fa)... ma questa volta si passa da 530 a 520! Installazione nel corso della settimana!
