Just riding around (a little too fast!)

Amazing weather! It’s warm! Holidays, long weekends… and lots of miles on the bike. On April 25th, I went on a great ride with my motorcycle club: 450 km of fun, laughs, leaning into corners, and good food. I left at 8 in the morning and got back almost at midnight — 16 hours of mental freedom, completely disconnected from everyday problems. New tires worn right to the edges, hitting 240 on the highway — I took it on purpose to test it… and it still had more to give. Amazing! On May 2nd, instead, a lively 170 km ride: fast roads, fast corners, at a time with very little traffic, just before dusk. And now? The next events are a day at the Di Traverso School and The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with the Benelli 49 America. Anything else? Oh right… I still haven’t told you about the 1980 Benelli 125 2C. Two cylinders. Two-stroke. 100% Greta-(un)compliant! I haven’t even mentioned that I bought it… and tomorrow the restoration begins (well, it’s going to the mechanic for the basic checks)...

Meteo stupendo! Fa caldo! Feste e ponti vari... e tanti chilometri in moto. Il 25 aprile, gran bel giro con il mio motoclub: 450 km di divertimento, scherzi, pieghe e cibo. Sono partito alle 8 del mattino e sono tornato quasi a mezzanotte: 16 ore di libertà mentale, di disconnessione dai problemi quotidiani. Gomme nuove portate ai bordi, visti i 240 in autostrada — l'ho presa apposta per provare... e andava ancora su. Stupendo! Il 2 maggio, invece, 170 chilometri frizzanti: strade veloci, curve veloci, in un orario con poco traffico, poco prima dell'imbrunire. E ora? I prossimi appuntamenti sono una giornata alla Di Traverso School e The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride con la Benelli 49 America. Altro? Ah, sì... non vi ho ancora raccontato della Benelli 125 2C del 1980. Due cilindri. Due tempi. 100% Greta-(un)compliant! Manco vi ho raccontato che l'ho presa... e domani si inizia il restauro, cioè va dal meccanico per i controlli di base. Giuro ve ne parlerò...

Philosophy?

Me, looking at the horizon. Wondering what’s coming up next. But damn eager to embrace every new upcoming day! Yeah! Sure! Very philosophical, isn't it... but I was just taking a break after a reckless blast on the mighty Vezzena Pass! Fast corners? Find them all along that road! And between those corners, between one bend and another, the roar of the Suzuki engine has been definitely well heard... LOUD AND CLEAR!

Guardando l'orizzonte. Chiedendosi cosa succederà dopo. Ma dannatamente desideroso di abbracciare ogni nuovo giorno in arrivo! Eh si! Sicuro! Molto filosofico, non è vero? Ma in verità mi stavo solo riposando dopo una sgassata bestiale a velocità proibitive sul Passo Vezzena! Quella strada è il paradiso delle curve veloci! E tra quelle curve, tra una piega e l'altra, l'urlo del 4 cilindri Suzuki si è fatto sentire... FORTE E CHIARO!

Perfect riding weather doesn't ex...

What a weather. Wonderful temperatures. Cannot ask for more! Some trees are still stuck in autumn mode: a beautiful Spring that hasn’t yet realized it’s actually... spring time!

Che meteo. Che temperature piacevoli. Non si può chidere di meglio! Alcuni alberi sono ancora fermi all'autunno: una Privamera bellissima che non si è ancora accorta che siamo... in primavera!
