New tyres. Again!

The good old Metzeler M9RRs have been abused for some 4,500 km. They still had something to give, but since I had a brand-new set of tyres at home, and given the fact that I'm planning a couple of longer rides, today I had one final fun ride on the old set, then switched to the new one. New in every sense: a new set and also a new model... I left the M9RRs behind (I've been using them for a few years, going through several sets) and put my trust in the brand-new Sportec 01. Can't wait to properly test them out. The farewell to the M9RRs was a 200+ km ride: Passo Brocon, Passo Gobbera, Passo Cereda, Forcella Aurine, Lago del Mis. Dry tarmac, no traffic, and lots of great corners that the M9RRs attacked proudly and responsively... it's almost a shame I changed them!

Le care vecchie Metzeler M9RR sono state maltrattate per circa 4.500 km. Avevano ancora qualcosa da dare, ma visto che avevo già in casa un treno di gomme nuovo di zecca, oltre al fatto di avere in programma un paio di giri più lunghi, oggi mi sono concesso un ultima sgassata divertente con le vecchie, per poi passare alle nuove. Nuove in tutti i sensi: treno nuovo e anche modello nuovo... Ho lasciato le M9RR (le uso ormai da qualche anno e ne ho consumati diversi treni) e ho deciso di dare fiducia alle nuovissime Sportec 01. Non vedo l'ora di provarle per bene. Il giro d'addio alle M9RR è stato di oltre 200 km: Passo Brocon, Passo Gobbera, Passo Cereda, Forcella Aurine, Lago del Mis. Asfalto asciutto, niente traffico e un sacco di belle curve che le M9RR hanno affrontato con orgoglio e con la solita grande reattività... è quasi un peccato averle cambiate!
